It was our first appearance at the AAOS Annual Meeting, one of the most important events in the field of orthopaedics. The whole Bonebridge product portfolio was FDA-cleared in late 2022, and in the meantime the first smart orthopaedic trauma implants have already been used in surgeries in the US. In that respect, it was a perfect time to “get some feet on the ground” at AAOS, according to CEO Christof Gerber, MD. The highlight of the four-day event for the Bonebridge team: The dinner on Wednesday night, which was organized by Bonebridge co-founder and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Christian Gerber. It was an honor that so many longtime friends of his – all of them renowned orthopaedic surgeons – were able to join.
“The Academy is such a unique get-together,” Christof says. “We were able to introduce our ‘reducing complexity’ concept to friends and former colleagues as well as prospective partners and distributors. I am convinced that the connections we made will serve as a basis for building respect and trust in the Bonebridge brand in the USA, and I want to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedule to connect with us.”
If you did not get an opportunity to stop by our AAOS booth, we hope to meet you later this year: Bonebridge will also be attending the OTA Annual Meeting in Seattle, WA, October 18-21. We hope to see you there!
