Christof started his professional career as an economist, working in banking and finance in Zurich, Switzerland. He subsequently received undergraduate medical training at the University of Zurich as well as at the University of Washington’s Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, USA. He went on to complete post-graduate medical training in anesthesiology and emergency medicine in Switzerland and is a Swiss Board certified anesthesiologist. Christof holds a Master’s degree in economics and a doctorate in medicine, both from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He also completed management programs at INSEAD and at Harvard Business School.

Jessie joined Bonebridge in 2022 as the Executive Vice President and General Manager USA. He is responsible for all US operations and manages the organization in the US. Jessie started his medical training in the U.S. Army, which included a tour in Afghanistan. Jessie then joined Synthes and developed a passion for orthopedic trauma. A veteran of the medical device sales industry, he has excelled with market leaders such as Johnson & Johnson, Smith & Nephew, Exactech and Nuvasive as well as start-ups like Sig Medical (acquired by Zimmer Biomet). Jessie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Millersville University, PA. He currently lives in Pennsylvania with his wife and two children.

Alex joined Bonebridge in February 2026. In this role, he focuses on growing our presence in the US and spreading our mission of reducing complexity in orthopedic trauma care. Alex has spent his professional career designing and deploying products across the orthopedic space, with a focus on implants, smart instruments, and surgical navigation. His work has brought him to major research institutions across 49 states and 17 different countries. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Florida.

Ava joined our US team in early 2025 as a Regional Clinical Specialist for the Texas region. She is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience, specializing in molecular and cellular neuroscience. During her time at Texas A&M, she took on several roles at the Student Recreation Center and worked as a Student Ambassador for the Aggie Engagement Center. Ava also gained valuable clinical exposure through her volunteer work, most notably at the Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center in Houston, where she developed a strong interest in orthopaedic trauma.

Hannah has been with Bonebridge USA since August 2025. As a Regional Clinical Specialist, she supports our sales and marketing activities in the Northeastern United States. Hannah recently earned a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from West Chester University in Pennsylvania, her home state. During her studies, she acquired valuable sales experience on the West Chester National Sales Team and pursued her passion for marketing with an internship at the beverage company Molson Coors. She also interned with Maxx Orthopedics and Smith & Nephew, where she further explored her interest in orthopaedic trauma and received comprehensive hands-on training in medical sales.

Joe joined Bonebridge USA in 2025 as the Operations Administrator. He handles the day-to-day operations in the US while developing solutions to optimize the team's tools, workflows, and structures. After earning a Bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific University, he gained his first career experience focusing on product and logistics with Nike before branching out into digital product and experience design. Outside of work he enjoys trail running with his dog, playing tennis, and spending time with his family.

Livia joined our Swiss team at the end of 2024. Like many of her teammates, she attended the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in human movement sciences, followed by a Master’s degree in biomedical engineering. She spent the last semester of her studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA, where she completed her Master’s thesis. Livia subsequently started her professional career as a Clinical Project Lead at Zimmer Biomet, managing PMCF and regulated studies in the dental and orthopedic fields. She later advanced to Clinical Operations Manager and further broadened her expertise by completing a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Management, Technology, and Economics (ETH). Before joining Bonebridge, she also gained valuable experience as an International Product Manager at Geistlich Pharma.

Since October 2022, Kis has been in charge of procurement and production planning, materials management, as well as purchasing and logistics at Bonebridge. He originally started his career in management consulting in Zurich and Stockholm. In subsequent years, he worked in various leadership positions in global enterprises, small and medium-sized companies, and startups. Kis is passionate about increasing the efficiency and efficacy along the whole supply chain. He possesses in-depth expertise in optimization, automatization, and industrial digitalization as well as the respective procedural, infrastructural, and organizational transformations. He also has long-time experience in global business development, namely expanding into new product categories as well as exploring new procurement and sales markets. Kis holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

Salome joined our QM & RA team in the spring of 2024. She has a strong background in molecular biology with a focus on health and disease. Her impressive academic track record includes a Master’s degree in biology from the University of Zurich (UZH), followed by a PhD, which she completed at the Institute of Molecular Health Sciences at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). After a short post-doctoral fellowship at Linköping University in Sweden, she briefly worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a clinical development intern. Her career highlights also include supervising projects for master and predoctoral students at UZH, ETH, and the University of Linköping. She has earned several prizes for her academic achievements, including the Paul Klee and Young Investigator Award.

Jorrit joined the Research and Development team at Bonebridge in early 2022. He originally started his professional career at a product development company in Zurich, Switzerland. In that role, he was responsible for running several projects from the initial planning phase to serial production. He also had the opportunity to work with well-known medical device companies. As part of the development team at Bonebridge, he drives the further development of our product portfolio. Jorrit holds a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich.

Benjamin Burkhard joined the Swiss team in early 2024 as the new Head of Sales Switzerland. Benjamin already has several years of sales experience under his belt: He started his career as a sales representative for Stryker in the endoscopy & sports medicine division, where he excelled as one of the top 5 sales reps in Europe for two years in a row. As a Regional Field Trainer, he was also responsible for overseeing and conducting the sports medicine education of the Swiss sales force. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences and technology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich. For his Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, which he also obtained at ETH, he was awarded the prestigious Willi Studer Prize for graduating at the top of his class.

Patrick joined Bonebridge in early 2019 and manages the Research & Development team. He started his professional career with an apprenticeship in construction and design engineering at Synthes. He then worked as a development engineer in different fields for DePuy Synthes/Mitek Sports Medicine and completed training as a mechanical engineer at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Burgdorf, Switzerland. He subsequently joined 41medical, a think tank and design & development company that grew out of the former Synthes innovation team. Before joining Bonebridge, he led the Research & Development team at 41medical.

Marion joined the Bonebridge sales team in July 2023 and is responsible for the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Born in France and with a passion for the medical field, she pursued an education in Osteopathy and practiced in various clinics and rehabilitation centers in Valencia and Barcelona, Spain, as well as Porto Alegre, Brazil. Marion's diverse career took a turn when she returned to Barcelona, delved into the commercial world, and furthered her education with post-graduate studies in International Trade. Prior to joining Bonebridge, Marion developed her expertise as a Key Account Specialist at the Etnia Eyewear Culture Group. Her unique blend of clinical and business experience makes her an asset to our team.

Diego became part of our Swiss team in early 2025. As part of our sales force, he supports customers across Switzerland. Diego holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physiotherapy from Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and a Master's degree in sports medicine from the University of South Wales. Throughout his career, Diego has worked internationally as a physiotherapist, gaining diverse experience across Switzerland, the Netherlands, Australia, and Canada. His clinical expertise spans sports-related, neurological, and post-operative patient rehabilitation, as well as clinic management.

Celina joined our Clinical Affairs team in June 2023. Celina started her career in the Clinical Operations department at Zimmer Biomet, where she worked for several years and gained experience in clinical research and clinical project management. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Health Sciences and Technology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, as well as a Teaching Diploma in Physical Education.

Michelle manages quality management and regulatory affairs at Bonebridge. A trained biotechnologist, her academic research focused on the analysis of iron and magnetite nanoparticles in the brains of Alzheimer’s disease patients. Before joining the company, she gained extensive experience in quality management and regulatory affairs, working for several medical device manufacturers in Switzerland. Michelle holds a Master of Science degree in biotechnology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna and completed her master's thesis at the University of Toulouse, France.

Alex has gained experience in various industries. He started his career working for two fast-growing startups in the fashion industry – VIU Ventures AG, based in Zurich, Switzerland, and AMARO, based in São Paulo, Brazil. Alex then held different positions at UBS in Zurich, focusing mainly on data analysis in operational risk. He subsequently moved on to work for of a small Swiss venture capital company which invested mainly in early stage MedTech ventures. He soon discovered his interest for the fascinating world at the frontier of medicine, research and business and decided to co-found Bonebridge in 2018. Alex has a Master’s degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

As part of Bonebridge’s Marketing team, Sara plans and executes various marketing and communication activities and writes content for digital and analog channels. She originally started her career as a research associate in executive search. Since then, she has worked as an editor, copywriter, and communication manager for international enterprises, small and medium-sized companies, and NPOs. She holds a Master of Arts degree in English linguistics, American literature and education from the University of Bern, Switzerland and also completed a CAS Corporate Writer at Schweizerische Textakademie.

Lea joined Bonebridge as a Process Automation Specialist in October 2025. In this role, she focuses on optimizing and automating processes, ensuring that resources are used effectively throughout our organization. Lea was already intimately familiar with Bonebridge before taking on her current position: She originally interned with us while she was completing her Master of Science degree in biomedical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), following a Bachelor’s degree in health sciences and technology.

Laura joined the R&D team at Bonebridge in August 2024 as a development engineer. She originally completed an apprenticeship in construction and design engineering at Synthes in Switzerland. She subsequently continued to work in the company’s innovation team as a design engineer. In parallel, she also completed a Bachelor of Science degree in microengineering at Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH). Before her position at Bonebridge, Laura also worked as a bicycle mechanic and spent several years traveling the world on her bicycle and in a VW bus.

Before officially joining our R&D team in May 2025, Markus supported Bonebridge for many years as an external consultant. He originally started his professional career with an apprenticeship as a design engineer at Scintilla AG (Bosch Group) and subsequently completed a Bachelor’s degree at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Burgdorf. Markus draws on over a decade of experience as a product development engineer in the med tech industry, working at companies such as Synthes, Schärer Medical, and Mathys, and later as an independent contractor for renowned companies like Nobel Biocare and 41medical. In addition to his broad experience in product development, Markus possesses in-depth expertise in navigating regulatory compliance, driving risk management strategies, and leveraging post-market analytics.

Nick officially joined our Swiss team in May 2025, after supporting Bonebridge’s marketing activities as a freelancer since 2019. He began his career as a graphic designer before specializing in 3D design and visual effects. A Swiss native, Nick has spent the past 15 years splitting his time between Southeast Asia and Switzerland, collaborating with a wide range of 3D agencies and corporate clients across both continents. At Bonebridge, he is part of our Communications & Brand Management team and the creative force behind our 3D product renderings and animations.
